Opponents of human cloning and useless, unethical embryonic stem cell
research reopened a legislative debate Monday, urging a Kansas House
committee to endorse a bill setting out 31 legal definitions related to
cloning and research. But a pro-cloning spokesman for the biosciences
industry told the Health and Human Services Committee that the measure would
"marginalize Kansas" in the global marketplace "without any foreseeable
benefit."
Defining cloning will marginalize Kansas?? This fight is not even over
funding, just definitions, and already pro-lifers are being accused of
trying to make Kansas look like a hayseed laughingstock.
Better throw in a definition of atrocity.

Abortionist quack Deborah Levich allowed her Alabama medical license to
lapse last week, putting her out of reach of disciplinary action in the
State of Alabama.
While no formal charges were ever filed against Levich, she was the
abortionist at Birmingham's Summit Medical Center when it was permanently
closed by the state last June after it was discovered that abortions were
taking place without a doctor present, and other "egregious lapses in care."
Her license had been temporarily suspended amid allegations that she aborted
late-term babies without checking for viability in violation of Alabama law,
and falsifying medical records.
This quack has since been killing babies two days per month at the Summit
abortion mill in Atlanta, GA, putting more mothers at risk since having
been, essentially, run out of her Alabama abortion mill.

This week, for the first time in humans, a heart
failure patient received adult stem cells - taken from
his own adipose (fat) tissue - which were processed
and injected directly into the heart muscle with a
special catheter. Francisco Fernandez-Avilés, M.D.
performed the procedure in Madrid, Spain. The Texas
Heart Institute at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital is
leading the collaborative clinical trial which will
involve 30 patients.
The doctors expect to present the six month outcomes
of the study in 2008.
Trials treating heart patients with adult stem cells
from bone marrow are also under way.
Meanwhile, embryonic stem cell research cures nothing,
and is nowhere near any human trials, and likely will
never be safe or stable enough for human trials.

In Californicatia, Cord Blood Registry(R) (CBR) today
announced that it has completed initial validation
testing of the company's proprietary CellAdvantage(TM)
system using new automation technology for cell
processing, developed by ThermoGenesis and distributed
by GE Healthcare. The new technology, called the AXP
AutoXpress(TM) Platform (AXP(TM)), is the industry's
first functionally-closed, automated cord blood stem
cell processing technology.
The FDA-required validation testing demonstrated that
CBR's CellAdvantage system can meet or exceed the
company's current mononucleated cell (MNC) -- or stem
cell -- recovery rate of 98 percent, which is the
highest published cell recovery rate in the industry.
CBR will present data results at an upcoming medical
meeting.
Cord Blood Registry is the first and only family cord
blood bank to adopt this cutting-edge technology and
offer it to consumers who wish to cryopreserve their
own genetically-related stem cells for future
therapeutic use. The world's largest public donation
bank, The New York Blood Center, has also adopted AXP
processing.
People will want this for their children, when they
find out there are no cures ever coming out of
useless, unethical embryonic stem cell research. The
best place for the next cord blood stem cell
processing and storage facility would be - Kansas!

An Illinois law requiring girls under 18 who want to
contract the killing of their children in abortion
mills to notify their parents first will remain on
hold, after a federal judge refused Tuesday to allow
immediate enforcement of the law, which has been tied
up in courts for over a decade. Last September, the
Illinois Supreme Court finally issued rules for
handling appeals, which the federal court required for
enforcement. Instead of dropping the order barring
enforcement of parental notification, U.S. District
Judge David H. Coar kept the order in place, saying
the state is not ready to enforce the law because
rules and procedures have not been put into effect in
all 102 counties.
The ACLU was thrilled by the action of this, their
puppet judge, to allow more continued high abortion
mill profits.
Meanwhile, State Rep. John Fritchey (D-Chicago) has
introduced a bill that would broaden the list of
adults a pregnant teen could have notified, to include
any apostate, pro-abortion clergy member.
A ten-year delay to begin enforcing a new pro-life law
is too long, too much stalling, too many puppets,
defeating the intent of voters who elected pro-life
state legislators to restrict abortions.

A reform plan that could drastically change the way
some judges are elected in Illinois is expected to be
introduced in the state Senate today. The measure
would create a public financing system with political
donation limits, potentially staving off races like
the recent brutal judicial elections in downstate
Illinois.
The new bill, sponsored by state Sens. Kirk Dillard,
R-Westmont, and Kwame Raoul, D-Chicago, would use
court fees and voluntary donations from taxpayers to
fund candidates for the state Supreme and appellate
courts. Coupled with such a system would be
federal-style campaign contribution limits in those
races; donations would be limited to $2,000 from
corporation, labor organization and political
committees or individuals per candidate during an
election cycle. The proposal would not affect local
circuit court races.
In Kansas, the place to look at campaign reform in the
election of district judges is Sedgwick County, where
the pro-abortion DA buys a district judge with
"contributions" in order to have him block the
prosecution of illegal post-viable abortions.
There are lots of pockets waiting to get some of

The way to reduce the number of abortions is not to throw money at Planned
Parenthood for contraceptives and morning-after abortifacients, as leftists
would have you believe, but by enacting parental notification and parental
consent laws, and cutting taxpayer funding for abortion, cutting the teen
abortion rate by more than half.
Teen abortions fell from 13.5 per 1000 girls in 1985 to 6.5 per 1000 girls
in 1999, as parental involvement laws went from being enacted in 20 states
in 1992 to 32 states in 2000. Restrictions on the use of state taxpayer
funds through Medicaid also reduced the minor abortion rate. A 16% decline
in teen abortions attributed to parental involvement laws, combined with a
23% decline attributed to Medicaid funding restrictions, have been the major
factors in reducing abortions.
Of course, it would help lower abortions further if medical insurance
companies would stop paying off the abortionist quacks, especially for the
illegal post-viable abortions, like the ones bringing abortionist quack
George Tiller such huge profits.
Isn't it illegal for insurance companies to pay off on illegal abortions?
Follow the money.

Here's another Big Lie published for the abortion
lobby in the KC Star about premature births. We all
know that abortion scars mothers, and causes later
risk of premature births, as proven in several
scientific studies spiked by the media in past years.
We all know that the rising number of mothers who have
fallen victim to the brutal abortionist's knife has
caused the steady rise in the number of premature
births for the past 2 decades, so that now 1 out of 8
babies is premature. We all know that the abortion
rate is 3 times higher among black Americans, targeted
by Planned Parenthood for population reduction, and so
the premature birth rate is 3 times higher among black
Americans. But for some reason, medical researchers
continue to say that the cause of the increase in
premature births is a mystery.
A new study of more than 368,000 births in Missouri,
appearing in the "American Journal of Obstetrics and
Gynecology", finds that even when accounting for
differences in education, income and the mother's
health, black women are still more than twice as
likely to deliver prematurely. Completely ignoring the
obvious and proven causative risk factor of abortion,
the study falsely concludes that black Americans must
have a genetic predisposition to premature birth (they
suppose).
In St. Louis, Washington University "researcher" Louis
Muglia and his cohorts are grasping at straws in order
to pay off the abortion lobby, while the after-effects
of America's abortion scandal continue to cause more
infant mortalities, cerebral palsy, and other
tragedies through premature births. This is racially
biased fraud, and babies, black babies particularly,
and their parents will pay the price for 20 years to
come.

Idaho state Rep. Bob Nonini (R-Coeur d'Alene) introduced
legislation Thursday to outlaw the use of threats or
physical force to dissuade a pregnant woman from
giving birth. The bill also prohibits threatening to
do "anything that the person does not have the legal
right to do against the pregnant woman." That could
include employers threatening to withhold a job or
promotion or "a school counselor maybe describing to a
young person that by having this baby you have no
future, those kinds of acts," Nonini said. Violators
could be prosecuted, whether or not the baby is killed
in an abortion mill.
